As a transformational leader with high-caliber proven success in bi-vocational ministry, the Reverend Antonio LaMar Torrence has more than 35 years of business administration experience that encompasses both corporate and non-profit organizations and a penchant for addressing issues of diversity and inclusion in environments where the lack of equity is endemic. He is currently the Transitional Pastor for the Federated Church of Livingston, New Jersey. Prior to that he served as the Pastor of the Cross of Lutheran Church in Plainfield, New Jersey for twenty years, as an ordained Baptist minister breaking down denominational barriers of hegemony and advocating for the inclusion and equality of all persons regardless of nationality, ethnicity, gender, sex, and socioeconomic status.

In addition, he currently works as a Business Manager at Princeton University. Featured in the University’s #Tellustigers campaign, which highlights the community work of staff, students, and professors, he has co-chaired the Diversity and Inclusion Steering Committee, which plans, implements, and fosters diversity, equity, and inclusiveness for all employees at the University. With his prior business experience from the public-traded corporations of Lincoln Educational Services and Computer Learning Centers, Antonio also uses his experience in higher education to consult various entities on PCI compliance, fiscal controls and procedures, and accreditation preparation. He has served as the Vice-chair for the Board of Directors of the Big Apple Performing Arts in New York as well as the Chair of its Inclusion and Equity Committee.


Antonio holds a Doctorate of Ministry in Transformational Preaching (’19, Academic Honors Distinction), a Master of Divinity in Urban Ministries (‘97, Summa Cum Laude, New Brunswick Theological Seminary), and a Bachelor of Science in Finance (’89, Seton Hall University).
